Dr. Rezal Khairi Ahmad

Dr. Rezal Khairi Ahmad was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer in January 2013 under asecondment from Khazanah Nasional started in June 2012. On top of being the chief architect of NanoMalaysia Group business model, corporate structure and unique Venture Builder investment programme, he is also a Board Member ofNanoMalaysia, Founding Director of Nano Commerce Sdn Bhd, Founding Chairman of NanoVerify Sdn Bhdand Founding Director of Nanovation Ventures Sdn Bhd. Dr Rezal is currently responsible in expanding NanoMalaysia Group through intellectual properties development, equity acquisition and spinning off new companies and joint venturesto keep ahead of the technology and innovation growth curve.He holds a PhD in Nanotechnology, Electronic/Electrical Engineering from London Centre forNanotechnology, University College London as the first Khazanah PhD Scholar from 2007 to 2010with publications in high impact journals. He is a Member of the Board of Governance for Malaysia Laboratories for Academia-Business Collaborations (MyLAB), an Adjunct Professor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and recently appointed as Vice President of Asia Nano Forum for the term 2022-2024. China Graphene Industry Alliance (CGIA) appointed Dr Rezal as an International Consultant as a recognition of his work in developing and leading the executionthe National Graphene Action Plan 2020. His current endeavors include Hydrogen Economy, Energy Storage, Electric Vehicles and Internet of Nano-Things applications for relevant sectors in Malaysia and global markets.
