Faizal Mohd Yusof

I, Faizal Mohd Yusof, 53, am a civil servant and very proud to be one, a leader who is inspired by great leaders, a sporting and committed team player, a husband to one wife, a father blessed with 4 children and an avid gardener.

I graduated with LLB (Hons) from the University of Northumbria, New Castle Upon Tyne in 1993 and after short stints in a few establishments, I joined the Civil Service in January 1996. My first and only posting was to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).

My 1st task was as an Assistant Director of the Machinery and Equipment desk, Industry Development Division. I left MITI to undergo the Diploma in Public Administration in 1998 and upon completion of the course, I was re-posted to MITI, joining the Automotive Unit, under the same Division. Since then, I have served in various Units under Industry Development Divisions, Restructuring of Companies and Industry Services. I was the recipient for the Ministry’s Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang twice, in 2002 and 2008. Commencing May 2018 until now, I have been assigned as the Senior Director of the Investment Policy and Trade Facilitation Division (ITFD or Division).
